I haven’t participated in these challenges for years; since AI came to play, I have done less and less digital art. These are from when I did, but most of them I never posted and would need a new look. The first image was my original idea, but as I looked at it, it looked like it needed a redo with more colors, so I added the flower collage.

I am improving, at least I like to think so; my skills are evolving. Here are winter landscapes done in my unique style, capturing the serene beauty of snow-covered trees. I have tried to activate myself to do more in creative arts, not just photography, which I find a great art form, but I mean something that I create with my own hands and imagination. In my quest for self-expression, I have started to practice aquarelle painting due to the fact that it does not need so much space and it is something that I’ve never really excelled in, to say the least. This medium allows me to experiment with colors and techniques while providing a unique way to depict my thoughts and emotions on paper. It is a challenge that excites me. I usually don’t post anything I think is good; I am making an exception this time. This leap into sharing my work is significant for me, as I typically keep my creative struggles private. Some of these are OK, but I would like to have feedback on these to understand what resonates with others and how I can improve my artistic skills further. Your thoughts would mean a lot to me as I navigate this creative journey.
I do know I need a lot of practice and this post is loaded with not so great pieces of my efforts, but I did say I am taking a leap. The two first galleries are the new ones… not much improvement to be seen.

You’ll notice that all the AI takes on these aquarelle pieces kinda say the same thing, right? They all rave about the bright colors, the cool details, and the feelings they bring out. Each artwork seems to tell its own story through those gentle brushstrokes, letting you dive into a world packed with imagination and creativity. Plus, the fact that the descriptions are so similar shows how much these artworks hit home for everyone, highlighting just how timeless and captivating aquarelle is as a medium. Still in the mode of relearning a skill, inspiration feels very much lost, as if it has faded into the background. I am at the moment exploring the aquarelle medium, which I find very challenging yet incredibly rewarding. The delicate nature of watercolors forces me to embrace spontaneity and allows for unexpected outcomes, pushing my creative boundaries further than I anticipated. I have not taken photos of the “art” I’ve done yet, but that day will come soon, as I plan to document my progress to observe how my skills develop over time. So I am trying to find the creating mode in all artistic endeavors, whether it be through aquarelle, sketching, or other forms of expression. Each piece I create teaches me something new, and I am discovering the joy that comes from the process rather than just the finished work. Please do not be overly critical of these initial attempts, as the last one is what I started with, and it reflects not only my current capabilities but also my wish for learning and growing as an artist/ hobbyist.
