“Magnified Elegance”

I was playing with this image and, as pointed out in the previous post I really have difficulties naming my artwork – my first initial thought was menopause – just because my sister used to use the handheld fan due to menopause. But it was maybe a bit tacky. I don’t know – and this is actually my sister holding the fan. Next option was hot flash. No?

My artwork portrays a woman in vintage clothing holding an ornate fan. The magnifying glass held by someone’s hand is focusing on the person’s torso, making the details of the clothing and fan more prominent. The background is dark and indistinct, drawing attention to the central focus created by the magnifying glass. The ethereal quality of the image due to its color grading adds to the overall mood of the artwork moody tone,

As for the explanation, the title “Magnified Elegance” reflects the central focus of the magnifying glass highlighting the intricate details of the clothing and fan. The name also tries to capture the elegant and vintage nature of the subject matter.

Below you can see the different version I did of this. Do you have any preference ?

  1. I know what you mean about naming artworks, have felt the same way about mine many times! I like all the versions, I think the light and the mood can be perfectly fitting for many different allusions.
