In my latest mixed media piece, I’ve portrayed a classical-style female face in profile, gently illuminated by soft shading and intricate details reminiscent of Renaissance painting. I aimed to capture a serene expression, her smooth complexion standing in stark contrast to the vibrant, abstract swaths of color that playfully dance across the canvas in deep reds, greens, blues, and oranges. The background is a collage of layered vintage newspaper clippings, which adds a rich texture and a touch of nostalgia. As I blended the text and colors, I sought to create a dynamic interplay between modern digital artistry and historical elements, resulting in an overall mood that feels both contemplative and vibrant—where timeless beauty meets contemporary abstraction.
